- 9 San Giorgio lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Boil noodles according to package, drain and lay flat.
- Cook ground beef and onion in skillet, add garlic.
- Add tomatoes, paste, seasoning, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, egg, and a pinch of salt in bowl.
- Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella in dish; repeat 3 times.
- Top with Parmesan and cover with foil.
- Bake 25 minutes covered, then 15 uncovered until golden.
- Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
